Eggs-cellent

A POULTRY farming family from Dumfriesshire are celebrating success in the Scottish Egg Quality Awards.

Paul and Shona Arthur, of PS Poultry in Waterbeck, have been crowned the best producer 2017.
They picked up their shield and trophy at a ceremony in Perth last month, organised by For Farmers.
Shona, 39, said: “We are delighted to win, it’s a prestigious industry award and hard earned.
“We have 26,500 hens and we pack around 200,000 eggs per week. It’s non-stop and we pride ourselves on a quality product, something that this award underlines.”
