The South of Scotland Hydrogen Brokerage and Workshop takes place at Dumfries and Galloway College, pictured, on Thursday June 30, and is hosted by the Scottish Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association (SHFCA) and South of Scotland Enterprise (SOSE).
It will bring together potential hydrogen producers and users to match up supply and demand in the local area.
And it will showcase local players looking to produce green hydrogen along with examples of local companies representing the demand side of the industry. It will also cover steps being taken to stimulate the supply of skills and technologies to produce and utilise hydrogen.
The workshop will provide an overview of hydrogen as a wider commercial opportunity as well as the chance to hear from expert speakers and panels on the current state of development of the hydrogen economy.
A range of speakers will share their knowledge, including Doctor Nigel Holmes, of SHFCA.
It is estimated that up to 300,000 new jobs could be created across Scotland’s hydrogen sector by 2045, while the European hydrogen import market is predicted to be worth €20billion by 2030.
