DUMFRIESSHIRE MP David Mundell and MSP Oliver Mundell visited Arla Foods in Lockerbie this week to meet executives and see the wide range of products made there.

Both politicians praised Arla UK’s ongoing investment, pointing out the fact that the creamery operations had been an integral part of the Dumfriesshire economy for generations, currently employing 240 people on site and a further 40 based there on the transport logistics side.

The original creamery on the site was officially opened by the late Queen Elizabeth in July, 1975.
