THE countdown to 2024’s Eden Festival has begun as more acts are revealed.
Mali’s husband and wife musical duo, Amadou & Mariam, pictured, have been mixing their Afrobeat influence with jazz and funk since the 1980s and will be bringing their global sound to the Great Mountain arena.
Also making appearances at this year’s festival is one of the most renowned names in UK dance music: Neil Barnes will be bringing his box of awe-inspiring tunes to Raehills Meadows for a Leftfield DJ set, with the odd banger thrown in.
Sixties rock band The Zombies are also taking to the festival’s main stage during the four-day festival, featuring original members Rod Argent and Colin Blunstone, so expect to hear some true psychedelic-infused pop from hits like ‘Time of the Season’ and ‘She’s not There’.
Eden is always full of flavour with acts from all genres performing across ten stages and 2024 will be no different with bagpipe rock band Gleadhraich; electronic dance music group Dutty Moonshine Big Band; singer-songwriter Lewis McLaughlin; all female rock-band The Laurettes and many more all set to appear.
This year the festival takes on a ‘myths and legends’ theme with festival goers being encouraged to dress up as creatures from mythology and ancient tales.
Eden Festival director, Hannah Gould is looking forward to welcoming everyone and hopes this year’s event will be the stuff of legends, she said: “We are very excited to bring you our line-up for what’s shaping up to be an amazing Eden 2024. We can’t wait to invite you into the garden for the 14th chapter. Come and immerse yourself in the best party of the summer, set across ten stages, with something for everyone.
“Dance, frolic, make new friends and most importantly, make it legendary!”
