ANNANDALE photographer Sam Pattinson enjoyed attending a glittering awards finale in London last week with his family.
And although his photo of a swan, taken at the Eskrigg Nature Reserve in Lockerbie where he is a helper, didn’t win, Sam had a great night.
He had entered the image in the annual My Perspective photography competition, run by the Downs Syndrome Association.
It made the final 20 and went to a public vote.
Proud mum Carol thanked everyone who voted for him and said: “It was a really good evening. He might enter again in the future.”
Sam is shown standing with his photo at the ceremony.
