Firework free for all

A FIREWORKS event in Dumfries this weekend is set to go off with a bang.

The People’s Project and the Rotary Club of Dumfries Devorgilla are organising a free public fireworks display this Sunday, November 6, on the Mill Green/Whitesands, starting at 6 pm.
The free community event and will be the only large organised public fireworks display in the Dumfries area, and is expected to be attended by more than 3000 local people.
And it is hoped the event will attract as many people as possible to come along and enjoy a truly high quality professional display, free of the risks of fireworks in the back garden.
Support for the event has come from many local businesses and organisations.
Entry will be free, and a bucket collection will be carried out by the Rotary Club with all proceeds going to support the Cash for Kids charity and other local good causes.
