QUEEN of the South supporters are being given the chance of losing festive pounds and getting fit for the New Year.

Queens have started recruiting for Football Fans in Training (FFIT), a programme which helps supporters feel better and live a healthier lifestyle by losing weight, taking more exercise and improving their diet.
The free project ran at 16 clubs last year and is now being delivered at an additional ten, including Queens.
Those taking part in the 12-week programme, funded by the Scottish Government, can enjoy weekly training sessions at the Queen of the South Training Academy, at King George V in Glasgow Street beginning on Tuesday January 12.
Jim Thomson, community manager with responsibility for the programme, said: “Queens are delighted to be part of the programme helping local men get fit and develop a healthy lifestyle.”
Spaces are limited so anyone wishing to join FFIT should register with the club by email at [email protected] or call 01387 254853.
