FOOTBALL fans in the region are being urged to make their voices heard as part of a Scottish Government consultation.

South of Scotland MSP Joan McAlpine is appealing to supporters to have their say on how the game is run ahead of the January deadline.
Ms McAlpine, who is a member of the Queen of the South Trust, which acts as a voice for fans and promotes the team throughout the community, said: “Football clubs play an important role in our community. We have fantastic community orientated clubs in Queens and Annan Athletic and it’s right that fans should have the chance to be involved in the way their clubs are run wherever possible.
“There are a range of views on how fans can most effectively play a role in the running of their clubs, and this will be a valuable exercise in making sure that supporters voices are heard throughout the process.”
