A MAN has admitted exposing himself to two female motorists while travelling on the M6 -- more than eight years after committing the crimes.

Ian Cameron, 45, entered guilty pleas to three offences during a hearing at Carlisle Crown Court on Monday.

He admitted two counts of exposure, on both 9th and 12th February, 2007, and one charge of perverting the course of justice on 21st February that year.

Cameron is said to have exposed himself to the female motorists on the motorway near Carlisle while making journeys in his car.

Gerard Rogerson, prosecuting, told the court that after committing the offences Cameron had fled to Spain, and apparently lived there for eight years.

Cameron, previously of Waterfoot Road, Annan, will be sentenced on Friday of this week.

In the meantime he was remanded in custody.
