Gallery opportunity for young artists

YOUNGSTERS aged 3-18 from this region have the exciting opportunity to have their artwork featured in an exhibition at the National in Edinburgh.

In 2024 National Galleries of Scotland are encouraging young people to let their imaginations run wild and create their own artworks, from drawings, paintings, 3-D sculptures or video – there are no limitations on what they can make.

All submissions will then feature as part of the spectacular Your Art World exhibition, showcasing the creativity of young artists from across Scotland.

To participate, all they need to do is photograph their work and upload it to National Galleries of Scotland’s online gallery by the end of March, then they can come along and see their creation featured digitally on screens in the National.

All the new entries sent in will be added to the screens every month until the exhibition ends on April 14.

The free project aims to engage and encourage young people in the world of art. With online resources available for teachers and families to support children in art-based activities, the project encourages everyone to get involved no matter ability or knowledge. By providing tools and guidance, Your Art World demystifies the creative process and makes art accessible to everyone.
