Galloway's turn for Gem event

A NEW music festival is heading to Galloway next week after a successful launch in Dumfries.

The Hidden Gem festival made its debut in Dumfries in September with performances across four venues in the town.

Now the festival is coming to Castle Douglas next Friday with its own line-up of regional and national talent. Emerging from Castle Douglas, Palliro is a breath of fresh air in the music scene. Formed in 2023, this four-piece band brings a soothing and laid-back vibe to the indie genre with a bit of crunch for good measure, creating music that’s as reflective as it is engaging.

Supporting Palliro is Brontës, bringing a fresh new sound to the UK Music scene, being heavily influenced by 2010’s indie rock nostalgia.

The High Priestess saw similar success at this years festival playing to a jumping full house at White Hart and will be performing an exclusive stripped back set at The Vault Art Centre.
