Get on your bike this summer

FREE family cycling activities will be held across the region this summer.

There will be cycling lessons for young people aged 7–17 who ride with stabilisers, use a balance bike or have never cycled before. Bikes and helmets will be available to use. Learner riders must be accompanied. Booking is essential and they will be held in the Stewartry on 8 July; Dumfries on 7 July and 15 August; and in Annandale on 22 July.

In addition, there will be free family cycling skills sessions, which will provide tuition and practical confidence building. They will cover road positioning, route planning and bike safety checks. Bikes and helmets will be available for use.

They’re in the Stewartry on 8 July and Dumfries on 9 July.
