ON-LOAN Annan shotstopper Jamie Smith was the man of the moment at Annan Athletic’s player awards night last Saturday.
The 22-year-old goalkeeper, who has spent the season on loan from Hamilton, was presented with four awards on the night fans joined players and coaches inside the clubhouse following the Cove game.
Award winners were as follows: Annan Athletic FC Supporters’ Club Away Day Player of the Year: Tommy Muir.
Supporters’ Club Young Supporter of the Year: Innes Johnstone and Daniel Shanks.
Supporters’ Club Young Supporters’ Player of the Year: Jamie Smith.
Goal of the Season: Rhys Breen against Montrose at Galabank.
Management Team Players of the Year: Jamie Smith and Tommy Muir.
Directors’ Player of the Year: Paul Smith.
Supporters’ Young Player of the Year: Charlie Maxwell.
Top goalscorer: Tommy Muir.
Players’ Player of the Year: Jamie Smith.
Supporters’ Player of the Year: Jamie Smith.
There was also special recognition for players who reached milestone appearances this season, with gifts presented by the club’s all-time record appearance Peter Watson. They went to – Josh Dixon (50 appearances); Wullie Gibson (100 appearances) and Aidan Smith (300 appearances).
