Ian Brotherston, a member of Dumfries and County Golf Club, has won the European Senior Men’s Team Championship in Ljubljan, Slovenia along with his five fellow team members.
Brotherston has previously won the Men’s European Team Championship in 1985, so the 60-year-old’s newest title will only be adding to his already swelling medal hall.
In qualification, Brotherston shot one under-par to progress into the final competition stages.
To win this prestigious contest he and his team mates had to overcome other countries such as Spain, Italy and Switzerland.
Scotland managed to go undefeated throughout the week-long competition beating France in the quarter- finals, England in the semi-finals and Germany in the finals.
