The minister and his wife, Moria, will say their goodbyes to the region next week as he prepares to take up his new post at St Munda’s Church in Ballachulish, in the Scottish Highlands.
Rev Sandy, a former Forestry Commission employee, first came to the region in 2001 after studying at Glasgow University and completing his training as a minister.
He first took charge at the linked churches of Dalton, Hightae and St Mungo and in 2008 came to Lockerbie Dryfesdale, Hutton and Corrie Church of Scotland.
A special presentation will take place on tomorrow and his sermon begins at 11.15 am.
