Great gritter names wanted!

GET your thinking caps on and see if you can come up with a brilliant name for a winter gritter.

Sir Robert McAlpine’s M6 ROM team operate and maintain the A74(M) from Gretna to Millbank for Autolink, on behalf of Transport Scotland.

That includes providing a winter maintenance service between October and May to ensure the motorway remains safe for drivers.

They have got eight new gritters and need help naming them.

So, they are asking primary school aged children for their ideas.

The best names will be selected by the team on Friday October 2 and the winners will get a £20 voucher each.

The new names will also appear on the gritters in October, so keep your eyes peeled as winter approaches.

Entries should be sent via email to [email protected]
