Annan and Eskdale

THE future is looking a little greener for the Annandale Community Transport Service (ACTS).

ACTS, based in Lockerbie, has been awarded a grant of £30,885.94 to up their green credentials.

And the money is to be used for an electric, wheelchair-friendly vehicle to add to the community asset’s fleet.

As well as helping residents of Annandale and Eskdale get around, it will help reduce their local carbon emissions through making necessary journeys in a more environmentally friendly way.

The Scottish Government fund is administered by Keep Scotland Beautiful and supports green recovery in Scotland’s communities.
