Gretna celebrates soup and pud success

GRETNA Day Centre held their annual soup and pud event on Saturday morning and raised almost £3000.

Running from 11 am to 1 pm, the event welcomed all for soup, tea and coffee, with a raffle, tombola, bakery, bottle draw, bric a brac and more.

Members of Gretna and Rigg Community Council also attended to hand out copies of their new Gretna 2024 calendar.

Alison Hampson, of the Gretna Day Centre, said: “Our soup morning was an overwhelming success.

“Thank you to all businesses and clients who donated prizes. Thank you to all who came and supported our charity.

“Most of all thank you to all my staff and my wonderful volunteers for all their input and hard work.”
