The two-year-old bitch, owned and trained by Tina Robinson and Basher Carmichael of Greenmill, Longtown led from the first bend to win by a comfortable 3.5 lengths from Tony Hopper’s four-year-old Workington dog Aguero.
Later, Glasgow-based Papa, a three-year-old dog, took the honours over the same distance, despite the efforts of a strong challenging Macca Tiger, a two-year-old dog from David Bowes’ Cleator Moor kennels.
Finally, over the middle distance, three-year-old front-runner Mollie, entered by Keith Geddes of Dumfries, won by almost four lengths from Colin Jackson’s three-year-old Glasgow dog Yazoo.
