GREYHOUNDS: Dumfries flyer storms to sprint victory

DUMFRIES 2/1 shot Coal Mor impressed with a sprint victory at Gretna greyhound racing on Friday night.

The four-year-old bitch, owned and trained by Alf Geddes, edged ahead of a strong field to cross the line with a two lengths winning margin.

She was ahead of much fancied 5/2 bet Minion from the Kilmarnock kennels of Willie Hyslop.

There was another local winner in the following 280 metres trip when border-based Danny Boy took the lead in the run-in.

The two-year-old, owned and trained by Tina Robinson and Basher Carmichael of Greenmill, Longtown crossed the line with a length advantage.

He snatched the honours from long-time leader Oh Golly, a three-year-old dog from the McMillan kennels at Port Glasgow.
