The two-year-old dog, owned and trained by Ian Little of Dumfries, led from the first bend and pulled away from the pack. In what was his third Halcrow Stadium victory in eight outings, the local runner was followed home by runner-up Extra Time, a two-year-old bitch from Maurice Lawman of Workington. There was a cross-border tussle in the final middle distance race of the night. Davy Studholme’s three-year-old Kirkbride dog Star had the edge pulling away to snatch the honours by five lengths from favourite Danny’s Dan, owned and trained by Davy Dunbar at Auckinleck.
