The fancied three-year-old, trained by Pat Kennedy of Coatbridge, had the edge over runner-up, Dexter Clark’s Cumbrian-based 2/1 shot Joe.
Better known by his Gretna track name Horsey, the winner clocked 6.02 seconds, faster than the 6.13 seconds when he won the earlier heat.
In second place in the heat was Sunderland-based brindle dog Elie.
Meanwhile, a close connection of Pat Kennedy and another Gretna regular, Ricky Nelson, has been having an impressive winning run with his open racer Snow.
The three-year-old, familiar to many Gretna race goers, has had a remarkable run securing victories across the UK in 12 of his last 14 outings.
Finally, there was a further victory over the 470 metres distance for Ruth’s Baby, the three-year-old owned and trained by Dave and Ruth Crosbie of Wamphray, Moffat.
He won by more than a length from ELO, trained at the McKenzie kennels in Workington.
