Mike Walsh’s three-year-old Appleby bitch Rosemary won in a photo-finish by a short head in the 8.45 race.
He finished ahead of border fancy Goal Shy Dan, owned and trained by Basher Carmichael and Tina Robinson of Greenmill, Longtown.
Earlier, Scots greyhound Zig Zag ran a flyer to win the 8 o’clock race by two lengths.
The four-year-old dog, owned and trained by Rob Hyslop of Hawick, led from the first bend to win by two lengths from Ayrshire-based three-year-old Petite.
