STORMY weather will blow out 2024 with a yellow weather warning in place for Dumfries and Galloway tomorrow, December 31.
The Met Office are forecasting strong winds with gusts of about 50 mph, as well as heavy rain from 7 am through to 11 pm, slackening off slightly just in time for the bells.
But things are not much more settled for the start of 2025 either, with sleet showers on New Year’s Day and overnight temperatures down to -3.
The cold snap will then continue through the rest of the week, getting down as low as -7, and the possibility of snow in places at the weekend and next week too.
