TWO young men are being sought by police after an assault in Dumfries yesterday afternoon.
It happened in the Caul View area at about 3.40 pm and resulted in a 32-year-old man requiring hospital treatment.
Officers are appealing for information and witnesses and are keen to trace two 16-year-olds who may be able to assist with the investigation.
The first is described as approximately five foot two, of slim build, and was wearing a light-coloured hooded top or jacket, with the hood up; while the second
was about five foot eight, also of slim build, and wearing a dark-coloured hooded top or jacket, with the hood up.
Detective Sergeant Kelly Douglas said: “We are appealing for anyone with information on the incident to please contact police on 101, quoting incident 2592 of 31 October, 2024. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
