WITNESSES are being sought after a large amount of heating fuel was stolen from a business.

It happened at Hoddom Contracting Ltd, Ecclefechan, between Thursday April 9 and Monday 13th.

Police believe the suspect(s) have accessed the building via the minor road to Brydekirk and climbed over the walls that surround the business.

They say that, due to the large amount of fuel that was stolen, it is likely a hose was either used to transfer the fuel or several trips to and from the building were made with fuel cans.

Anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious between those dates or has any information is asked to contact officers on 101 quoting ref 0840 of April 14.
