Home ‘sheep’ home for Mr Bluesky

A COLOURFUL sheep has found his forever grazing home at Eaglesfield Primary.

‘Mr Bluesky’ has returned to where it all began.

It was last year that Daniel Threlkeld, then in P7 at Eaglesfield, entered a competition through the Royal Highland Educational Trust (RHET) to design a sheep for the Highland Show.

His entry beat over 1500 others to win the highly coveted prize of seeing his design come to life, as well as a trip to the Highland Show for his whole school.

Since then ‘Mr Bluesky’ has toured most of Scotland and helped to raise £22,000 for RHET’s work.

Following a donation from Pickstocks Food Ltd, the sheep statue has now returned home and will spend the rest of his days entertaining the children at Eaglesfield.
