Hotel quartet make awards finals

FOUR hotels from Dumfries and Galloway have been named as finalists in the 2025 Prestige Scottish Hotel Awards.

And collectively they are up for 12 awards.

The Cairndale Hotel and Spa at Dumfries is in the running for two awards, “Best 3* Hotel” and “Best Spa/Golf Hotel.”

Mabie House Hotel, near Dumfries, above, is in the finals for “Best B&B/ Guesthouse,” “Best Country Hotel,” “Best Historic/Heritage Hotel,” and “Best Independently Owned Hotel.”

Gretna Hall Hotel is nominated for “Best Historic/Heritage Hotel,” “Best Hotel Bar,” “Best Wedding Hotel,” and “Best Independently Owned Hotel.”

And Friars Carse Country House Hotel, also near Dumfries, is in the running for “Best Pet Friendly Hotel.”

The winners will be revealed at a ceremony in Glasgow in May.

The awards have been running for eight years now and director Warren Paul said: “It’s more important now than ever to shout about the people and businesses who go above and beyond day after day to deliver the very best in what they do. The hotels, rentals, teams and individuals recognised in this finalists list are the absolute leaders in their field, offering amazing customer service in all forms.”
