TWO HOTELS in Gretna were recognised at the Prestige Hotel Awards earlier this month.
Both Smiths Hotel and the Gretna Hall Hotel were shortlisted as finalists across four different categories within the awards.
Smiths Hotel was a finalist for the best four-star hotel in the south of Scotland, while Gretna Hall was shortlisted for Scotland’s best three-star hotel and Scotland’s best general manager, as well as winning the Scotland’s best hotel team award.
Isabel Rhodes, chief executive of Gretna Green Ltd, who own both hotels, said: “We are absolutely delighted to receive this award and recognition for our hotels.
“It highlights the hard work, spirit and passion we see in our colleagues every day who go above and beyond to create memorable experiences for our guests and underscores our commitment to excellence at Gretna Green.”
The award ceremony, which took place on April 23 in Glasgow, recognised excellence across the Scottish hospitality industry.
