THE good times continue to roll for Dumfries forward Kirsty Howat.
The Rangers striker was named ScottishPower Women’s Premier League Player of the Month winner for September.
The 26-year-old enjoyed a fantastic month, scoring seven goals as well as providing three assists for her Gers teammates as the Gers.
Howat picked up the award for the first time and shared her delight at being recognised for her efforts.
She said: “I am obviously really happy to win the award. It is the first time I have won a player of the month award so it is a really special moment. I think as a full team we have had a really positive September so to be able to get a little bit of recognition for that is really nice.
“I am really happy with the goals and assists, also on the other side of that obviously my teammates have helped a lot in assisting me. It is my name on the award but overall we have had a really good month as a team.”
It comes after Howat was named in the Scotland women’s national side for the first time last month.
