Hunt for intruder

A RETIRED couple had a fright when they awoke to find a man trying to break into their house.

The householders were awoken by noises and found what appeared to be an intruder, dressed in black with a hood up, attempting to get in through the bedroom window.
He fled when they challenged him.
Police are investigating the incident at a house in West End Terrace, Stranraer at 2.30 am last Friday morning.
Constable James Donnelly said: “This must have been a frightening experience for the couple and we want to catch the man responsible before he tries this again.
“We have been carrying out door to door enquiries in an attempt to locate witnesses and want to hear from anyone in the area if they have any information which might help identify this man.”
