CELEBRATIONS fit for a king will be held in Dumfries this weekend to mark the 750th anniversary of the birth of Robert the Bruce.
On Saturday immerse yourself in medieval life on Dumfries High Street with the medieval market and fayre with themed traders, living history, storytelling, tours and medieval crafts.
Visitors can also meet the Bruce family in the Court De Brus and enjoy the tributes that will be paid from Scottish tribal street music legends Clanadonia, Scots screiver Susi Briggs and Alan McClure, plus lots of medieval themed family entertainment.
Then on Sunday ready yourself for battle at Castledykes Park at a storytelling and re-enactment day, by Medieval Bruce Heritage Trust and Galloway Longfhada, on the site of Dumfries Castle.
