It's hard on the road
AWAY DEFEATS . . . the Solway Sharks were beaten by MK Lightning and Romford Raiders last weekend

THE SOLWAY Sharks travelled south on Saturday, for their second of five straight road games, to face second place Milton Keynes Lightning.

And they suffered an 8-0 defeat to the hosts who reclaimed pole position of the NIHL National League table.

On Sunday Solway were in Romford travelled South to the Raiders, facing a 5-2 loss to the hosts, despite a strong fight back in the final period where they netted twice through Stuart Kerr, who reduced the deficit at 45:49 with a top-corner strike following the thread from Mason Alderson, and Caly Robertson who collected the loose puck after Nolan Gardiner’s snipe hit the crossbar and slotted home the final goal of the evening at 48:30, to post the score at 5-2.

The Sharks are back on the road this weekend, taking on the Swindon Wildcats and Bristol Pitbulls.
