Jill moves on

OVER 70 parents and children gathered this week to say a fond farewell to a woman who had helped many of them on their breastfeeding journey.

Breastfeeding peer support co-ordinator Jill Asher, pictured, has moved on from her post with NHS Dumfries and Galloway after 13 years.
And dozens of people, including youngsters aged between 2 weeks and 12 years, turned up for the afternoon event at Mum2Mum NHS Drop-In in Dumfries yesterday to thank her and wish her well.
Dumfries mum Sarah Millar said: “Jill is one-of-a-kind, her knowledge and skills are second to none and she has always been there for anyone needing a hand. She will be sorely missed.”
