ANNAN Athletic have been handed a boost before Saturday’s crunch match at Elgin City with Chris Johnston voted cinch SPFL League Two Player of the Month for December.
The creative winger, in his second spell at the club, played a key role in Annan’s challenge last month, scoring once and providing no fewer than six assists for the Black and Golds.
Annan, currently fifth, are five points behind third-placed Elgin as the race for play-off places hots up in League Two.
Only five points separate fourth from tenth as Annan look to bounce back from last weekend’s loss at home to Forfar Athletic and also make amends for the 5-1 defeat suffered at Borough Briggs in October.
