Liam Stenton, Lewis Houston and Kieran Hair were called up after impressing in a series of trials and training games, and will now take to the ice for Scotland at The National Conference Tournament in Sheffield.
The U15s will have their ranks bolstered by Liam, whereas Lewis and Kieran will be flying the flag for the U17s, and all three are hoping for plenty of ice time and are looking forward to playing for their country.
Junior Sharks coach Jamie Kerr spoke about the qualities that each player will bring to the two teams come May.
He said: “Lewis’ dynamic play will ask a lot of questions of the other conference teams in attendance at Sheffield, and Kieran is a natural leader that does a lot of the ground work in a shift that can go unnoticed, whilst also providing frequent points.
“Kieran has recently been rewarded with some games with the senior Sharks team since turning 16, and has acquitted himself well there too.
“Liam will be the leader from the back in the Scotland U15s team, regardless of being named in the captaincy team or not. He will control issues at the back and on the blue line with his presence.”
Club chairwoman Justine McCuiag said: “Everyone at the club is extremely proud of all of these players.
“They all train hard and play well for their club, and have competed against the best players in the country to earn their place in the Scotland squads.
“They all show great skill and dedication to the sport, training with the national squad in addition to training and playing with the Junior Sharks, and they all deserve to be very proud of themselves.”
