Numbers have gone up from 2224 last Monday to 2784 today, with a rise of 182 over the weekend. (Source: Scot Gov).
There are currently 45 people in hospital and 11 in intensive care locally.
Meanwhile, inoculation of the over 80s age group started in Dumfries earlier today, using the Oxford Astrazenneca vaccine.
Health chiefs say they expect most people in that age group to have received their first jab by the end of the month.
