Lead theft

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after the theft of lead.

Approximately 3-400kg was taken from the roof of Corson’s in King Street, Castle Douglas between Friday July 17 and Sunday July 19.

Officers say it’s likely the suspects entered via the rear yard/car park area which is accessed from Church Street.

Anyone with information or who has dash cam footage that may be of interest to the police is asked to call 101.
