It was launched this week with a visit from Scottish Health Secretary Shona Robison, who took part in a sod-cutting ceremony at the site of the new Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary at Garroch Loaning in Dumfries on Monday.
Hailing a milestone which she says is part of the Scottish Government’s £2 billion investment in health infrastructure over four years, Ms Robison said: “This is an exciting and important day for all those people involved in the project who are finally seeing their hard work come to fruition.”
