The ninth Big Burns Supper festival has kicked off in Dumfries.
It started last Friday night with performances from Absolute Elvis, Grammy award winner Keb’ Mo’ and tribute band The Strange Doors.
And during the ten day run, more than 300 artistes will take to the magical spielgeltent stage to entertain in their own inimitable ways.
From comedy and song, to dance and picnics, the 2020 programme includes something for everyone old and young.
There are silent discos and tea dances, choirs and rock bands, drag and trad and much, much more.
The festival village and hub is down near the Whitesands and will be at the heart of the action but the Theatre Royal and Robert Burns Centre are holding their own fringe events too, as is the Coach and Horses pub.
