For Louise Edwards has been nominated as a finalist in a national competition recognising inspirational women.
She works full time as a mental health nurse and in her spare time goes to the gym, is a keen baker and makes regular visits to her four grown up children.
It was her ‘positivity’ that struck the judges who shortlisted her from hundreds of entries in the Peter Hahn Fabulous at 50 contest.
The fashion brand has teamed up with women’s magazine The Lady to find empowering women.
Peter Hahn UK sales manager Christopher Wheatley said: “At Peter Hahn, we celebrate women aged 50+ and wanted to recognise these empowering women.
“When we saw Louise’s entry we were immediately struck by her positivity and ambitious nature. For Peter Hahn, she is the very embodiment of what it means to be Fabulous at 50 and is an inspiration to women of all ages.”
Louise rates her proudest achievement as having had the confidence to change careers after the age of 50 and follow her ambitions to achieve a Masters degree and subsequently undertake mental health studies.
Describing her personal style, she says it’s a classic wardrobe of jeans with a simple top and blazer.
She said: “I am thrilled to be one of the finalists in the Peter Hahn Fabulous at 50 competition. It’s confirmed a great sense of confidence in myself and am proud that the judges have recognised my passion for life, which has increased more the older I’ve got.”
The winner will be revealed later this month and will get a £1000 prize, a makeover and photoshoot in The Lady and will also become the face of Peter Hahn clothing on the company’s blog.a
