Linzi McLelland, 24, is a Miss Scotland 2018 finalist.
The ex Lockerbie Academy beauty, who lives in Dubai, is no stranger to pageants – winning Miss Galaxy Glasgow and Miss British Empire Scotland.
And four years ago, aged 20, she was in the running for the 2014 Miss Scotland crown, which eventually went to Ellie McKeating.
Undeterred, Linzi is now in the running again and thinks her life experience and full passport make her a stronger competitor than ever.
She said: “I have been living in Dubai working as a flight attendant for almost two years now. I have travelled all over the world. I have walked on the Great Wall of China, the Hollywood Walk of Fame and climbed to the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio, to name a few of the highlights.
“As much as I love living in Dubai, I do miss home and nothing makes me happier than getting a few days back in Scotland and enjoying the outdoors.”
She added: “Now that I am 24 it means that this is the last year I can apply for Miss Scotland.
“I first entered the competition four years ago and have always dreamed of entering again, this time more determined to win the title.
“The winner from Miss Scotland will go on the represent Scotland in the Miss World competition later in the year.
“It is nice to be back in the public eye and I am looking forward to all the events that Miss Scotland has planned for us. The support I have received already has been amazing, my phone has not stopped.”
Meanwhile, throughout her Miss Scotland campaign trail, Linzi will be raising money for Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH). It’s a charity close to her heart after losing her father to suicide.
She will be climbing Ben Nevis and also holding a charity night in the Body Shop in East Kilbride.
Linzi will compete against 11 other lovely ladies and finds out her fate at the Miss Scotland finals on June 15.
