Long service awards for band members
LONG SERVICE. . . Christine Calvert, Nicole Weatherstone and Jacqueline Elliot have played for the band for 44 years

LANGHOLM Town Band has congratulated three of their stalwart members who received long service awards at the weekend.

Presented by the Scottish Brass Band Association, the awards were given out at Langholm’s concert – ‘A Night at the Movies’ – at the Buccleuch Centre.

The SBBA life membership medals were presented by the band’s MD Chris Bradley to flugel player and band secretary Christine Calvert, principal cornet Nicole Weatherstone and principal euphonium Jacqueline Elliot for over 44 years service to the same band.

All three joined Langholm Town Band in 1979.
