Man sought following whisky theft

POLICE in Langholm are looking to trace a man in connection with a whisky theft in the town.

Four bottles of malt whisky, which are valued at nearly £140, were stolen from the Co-operative store in Glenesk Road at around 3 pm on Friday.
And police are keen to speak to a man who visited the shop on two occasions around that time and may have left the scene on a bike.
He is described as being in his mid 30s, about five foot eight inches tall, roundish build with a pock marked face and psoriasis on his arms.
He was also wearing grey jogging bottoms and a brown, red and white striped top.
Constable Sandy Currie said: “Anyone who may have seen this man or who could identify him should give us a call on 101.”
