Mark to share epic cycle ride

JOIN Mark Wedgwood at the Easterbrook Hall on Monday as he shares his journey across the UK on two wheels.

In 2022, Mark cycled 7300 miles across all 204 Ordnance Survey Landranger maps, in numerically ascending order: a six-month odyssey to every part of Scotland, England, Wales and the Isle of Man.

Now he will share his journey to the most extreme and hard-to-reach places and the most mundane and everyday.

His carefully devised cycling routes introduce us to lesser-known places, strange anomalies and endearing stories that tell of a country that still offers a catalogue of truly uplifting experiences. No adventure can take you everywhere in Britain, but this one comes close.

Mark commented: “2022 was a life changing year for me. I set myself a unique personal challenge to cycle to all parts of Britain via every OS Landranger map, in numerical order! It has been really rewarding to share my journey in person this year, and I’m thrilled to have another chance to hopefully inspire a few more people to find and achieve their own personal adventures. It all starts with curiosity, and it can lead to a whole new way of life. Anything is possible.”

Mark will be speaking in the Gilchrist Room at the Easterbrook Hall on Monday November 25 from 7.30 pm, for more information visit: rsgs.org/events.
