THE Solway Sharks continue to build for next season with the signing of netminder Jordan Marr.
The Scot has spent the last five seasons with the Peterborough Phantoms where he established himself as one of the most successful stoppers in the league winning five trophies in as many years.
Marr said: “I’m really excited to be a Solway Shark. After meeting with John Strange, Martin Grubb, Craig Peacock, John Dunbar and other members of the Sharks organisation and hearing about the returning core players and potential new signings, I knew that Solway is a club aiming to build and take that next step at the National League level.
“I’m grateful for me and my family to be given the opportunity to be part of building something special in Dumfries.
“I can’t wait to get the season started and get the Sharks back in the hunt for some silverware.”
General manager Peacock added he’s “absolutely thrilled” to get Jordan over the line.
He added: “He has proved throughout his career to be a winner and a true professional.
“His competitive nature will no doubt have a positive impact on our team.
“It’s so important to have a strong netminding duo and we are very pleased to have this addition alongside Calum Hepburn.”
