CASES of measles continue to creep up across the UK – but Dumfries and Galloway is still clear.
Health bosses this week confirmed there are currently no cases in this region.
However, the NHS Dumfries and Galloway Health Protection Team is undertaking proactive work in relation to measles.
It includes contacting all under 18s and healthcare staff who have not received two doses of MMR to attend for inoculation.
A spokesperson said: “Having two doses of MMR is the best way of preventing measles infection.”
