The 39-year-old man from Northern Ireland also suffered minor cuts to his head and arm following the smash near Carsluith at 3 am.
He was the only person injured in the accident and was taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary, but has since been released.
His blue Scania artic was in collision with a red Mercedes Actros lorry carrying parcels, oil and liquid, and a black Scania artic carrying an excavator and digger.
As a result the loads from all three lorries, including the digger, fell onto the road.
Work is ongoing to remove the debris, which includes fresh meat, from the A75. The road remains closed and diversions have been set up.
