Military honours at Josh's funeral

FRIENDS and family will gather today to witness an Ecclefechan soldier make his final journey through his home village.

Corporal Josh Hoole, 26, died last week as he completed a run and fitness tests as part of his work towards becoming a platoon sergeant.
He was on a course at Dering Lines infantry training centre in Brecon, Wales.
Today, Thursday, the popular soldier, who served in Afghanistan and Iraq, will be given full military honours.
Those who wish to pay their respects are invited to gather at Ecclefechan High Street at 1.15 pm to witness Josh’s cortège being piped along the street.
A church service, also public, will follow at Crichton Church in Dumfries at 2.30 pm, before those closest to Josh, family and friends, attend Roucan Loch Crematorium to say their final farewell.
Friends are invited to join family at a gathering later in the Easterbrook Hall to share memories of Josh and celebrate his life.
