Mill crowned wedding champion

AN ANNANDALE wedding venue is celebrating a top award, marking it as ‘champion of the industry’.

The Mill Forge at Kirkpatrick Fleming scooped the Wedding Venue of the Year, South category award at last month’s Scottish Wedding Awards 2022.

Hundreds of wedding professionals enjoyed a bash at a hotel in Glasgow, and celebrated the top florists, cake decoraters, bands, venues and more.

General manager of The Mill Forge, Graham Smith, said: “This award is a fantastic achievement and a delightful recognition of all the hard work put in by our staff.

“The last two years have been incredibly challenging for everyone and to be honoured this way is hugely satisfying and humbling.

“I’d like to thank all the customers who voted for us and every member of our team for their continued efforts in making so many wedding day dreams come true.”

The Mill Forge offers a range of wedding types – from romantic getaways for two, to sumptuous events for all the family and friends.

A spokesman for The Scottish Wedding Awards 2022, said: “The awards are proud to showcase those who promote excellence and turn any bride or groom’s dream into a reality.

“We would like to congratulate all finalists and winners for their achievements and we hope that they will keep up their amazing work.”
